The Journey Home Annual Banquet on August 26 was a blessed evening. It was not just the record 240 attendees, the delicious food, or the great silent auction items. What made the night so special was the outpouring of community support. Thank you so much to those who sponsored a table, gave generously, and joyfully volunteered their time to make the evening possible. TJH is so grateful for each one of you.
Our hearts are overwhelmed with what God has done in and through TJH. Your partnership has made a huge difference in the lives of people who need God and the hope and healing only He can bring. A true highlight of the banquet was hearing from several of the guests who shared how God has transformed their lives through TJH.
Your prayers have made the impact. Scripture tells us of the mighty power of prayer. We pray faithfully for you and appreciate your dedication to prayer for TJH. God has answered prayers as only He can. Lives are being changed. “He has begun a good work and will carry it to completion…”
The challenge at this year’s banquet was a $50,000 match towards paying off half the debt on the building ($225,000 left on the $2.1 million building) by the end of 2023. We hope to pay off the remaining debt by the annual banquet next August. We believe God wants us to be debt free so that we can focus on building/renovating more homes to be used for our Next Step Program. Our one Next Step home has been a blessing to several families already. The great difficulty in finding affordable housing for our guests when they graduate form TJH has shown us the enormous need for this option to help these families in their next step to independence.
We are thrilled to announce that the banquet proceeds and pledges brought in $29,599 towards the $50,000 matching grant. We are trusting God for the remaining funds to come in by December of 2023. Thank you for prayerfully considering contributing to this match. Your sacrificial gifts and your commitment to prayer are an abundant blessing used by God for eternal purposes. The Staff and the Board of TJH are filled with joy because of our partnership with you. Thank you so much.

- For God to give us discernment regarding applicants. Several are in the process.
- For us to be an example of Jesus as we love and encourage our families and point them to Him.
- For new churches and individuals to join in financial and prayer support of TJH.
