Thanksgiving is a great time of year to tell you how very thankful we at The Journey Home are for each one of you. This morning, I was talking to a community partner and reflecting on a phrase I say often, “We are standing on sacred ground at The Journey Home”. What God has done to make the home a reality, and even more importantly, what He has done to transform lives is truly miraculous. He has worked through you, our faithful prayer partners, volunteers, donors, staff, and encouragers. Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude for you.
Thank you for your partnership in investing in the lives of those who need to know that God has plans to give them hope and a future. We are so grateful for your prayers and your compassionate heart.
Praises:
- For our new family that moved in last week and are settling in well.
- For the opportunity to share the true meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas with our guests as we celebrate and share these holidays with them.
- For our partnership with Giving Words who are helping us to obtain donated cars for our single moms with kids.
- For the joy of building relationships with our guests.
- For God’s provision of jobs for our guests.
- For the generosity of individuals and churches in their giving, their prayers and their involvement.
- For TJH staff and for their commitment to the ministry.
- For TJH Board and for their spiritual leadership.
- For the continued partnership in ministry with our community.
Prayer requests:
- For God to give us discernment regarding applicants. There are two new families currently in the process of becoming possible guests at TJH.
- For God’s provision in filling the House Manager(s) position.
- For us to be an example of Jesus as we love and encourage our families and point them to Him.
- For our ongoing devotions and Bible studies to help them build a deep relationship with God.
- For more churches and individuals to grasp the vision to be involved in TJH prayerfully and financially.
- For God’s favor for year-end donations and for grants pending a decision.
- For godly relationships among staff and guests.
