Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights… James 1:17

At this special time of year, we reflect on the birth of Jesus. It can be difficult with all the distractions to truly focus on this perfect gift given to us from the Father. Please join me in making a conscious effort to thank God and remember that His presence is the greatest present.

God has continued to do amazing things in and through The Journey Home. It is a joy to see families growing in their faith and becoming independent as they work on their goals to move forward in life. There have also been some significant challenges, but we find great comfort in knowing we are doing what God has called us to do in His strength and with His love. He is indeed transforming lives.

Some of you may have already received our end of the year newsletter in the mail. For those of you who have not received it, you can view it here. Please spend some time reading the TJH Year in Review. There is a section about our Capital Campaign that we launched this summer with the goal to pay off our construction loan by August of 2024. If you are interested in giving a year end donation toward this goal, please add “capital campaign” to the memo line of your check. You may also specify this when giving on our website as well.

Your prayers, involvement and donations are crucial to God’s work at TJH and words cannot begin to express our deep gratitude for your faithfulness in joining us in God’s work. We are awed as we reflect on what God has done in 2023 and are excited to see what 2024 will bring.

Merry Christmas from The Journey Home staff!

Lord Jesus,

Master of both the light and the darkness,

send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas.

We who have so much to do seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day.

We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us.

We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom.

We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence.

We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light.

To you we say, ‘Come Lord Jesus!’

Amen.
