Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

Our hope is much more than wishful thinking. Hope allows us to keep moving forward. It gives us a sense that things will get better, that problems will be resolved and that life will improve. Belief in Jesus gives us the eternal hope that all wrongs will be made right, all hurts will be healed and all of God’s creation will be redeemed.

Program participants at The Journey Home desperately need to believe their life will improve. Thank you for praying for and investing in the families who are seeking to rebuild their lives. Your partnership is helping to bring hope to these individuals and families.

Story of Impact

One of our moms recently shared, “I arrived at TJH feeling hopeless and depressed. Now, just a month later, I no longer feel this way. I am so thankful for the classes, the encouragement and the support staff have given to me that have helped me to grow in my faith and in my confidence in myself. I now feel like my kids and I have a bright future.” This family now has hope and a belief that life can be different.

Our Community Partnerships are making a Difference

Louisa Baptist Church again hosted a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 6, to benefit TJH. It was a huge success with $4,900.00 raised! TJH is grateful for their time, effort, and financial support.
Louisa County Parks, Recreation & Tourism supported the Staff and families of TJH at a fellowship event on June 28. We all enjoyed the cook-out at the pavilion, the playground and especially the time in the pool. It was the first time several of our kiddos had been in a pool and they loved it!

Volunteers are needed and appreciated. An immediate need is for childcare during classes on budgeting, life coaching, parenting and Bible study. Transportation for guests to appointments is also a great way to help TJH in its ministry to our families. Cleaning and preparing units for new families to move into is another opportunity to serve.
