Your Partnership is Making a Difference

A recent guest came to us struggling greatly after experiencing many difficult life circumstances. After several months at TJH she shared that “Everything is starting to feel like I’m getting on track. It is nice to be able just to trust God, the process, and just follow through with the plans for me. Everything is going great. I am excited.”

Trusting God is giving her the hope and healing needed to flourish – in the present and future – despite her past. Her trust in God is impacting her child and the next generation. We thank God for you and your partnership that makes this process possible. Through your generosity and prayers, you are helping to show God’s love in action to the families at TJH as they walk the journey of rebuilding their lives.

Our Community Partnerships are making a Difference

Many people ask how they can be involved in helping TJH. Here are a few examples:

  • The Point Church in Louisa held a community outreach day on Saturday, March 14. TJH was blessed to have volunteers help us with many projects such as getting the garden ready and cleaning up the playground.
  • Zion United Methodist Church has come up with a wonderful idea to host a Banquet at their church in May (date TBD), to benefit TJH.
  • With Spring finally happening (praise God after this harsh winter!), keep TJH in mind as you spring clean. Louisa Baptist Church is again graciously having a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 6, to benefit TJH. Please consider donating items you are cleaning out as well as planning to shop that day for some real bargains.

How You and Your Church can Bless TJH Families

  • TJH Annual Banquet is Saturday, August 29.
    • Please save the date, plan to attend and invite friends to hear the amazing things God is doing to transform lives.
    • Donate a basket or an item to our Silent Auction Fundraiser.
    • Become a personal or business sponsor to help support this wonderful event.
  • Many Church VBS programs are looking for ministries to support with their spotlight on benefitting a charity. We would love to have you designate TJH.
  • A paper product drive (paper towels, TP, napkins, tissues, zip lock bags) by your group would be greatly appreciated. We always need these items that we supply for our families as many of them arrive with very little.
  • Spring cleaning opportunities are a great way to bless TJH family.
  • Volunteers are needed and appreciated. An immediate need is for childcare during classes on budgeting, life coaching, parenting and Bible study. Transportation for guests to appointments is also a great way to help TJH in its ministry to our families. Cleaning and preparing units for new families to move into is another opportunity to serve.
