Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Theodore Roosevelt is known for his quote, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” But what if you don’t have belief in yourself? Many of the guests of TJH don’t have the confidence they need to succeed. This is where you make a huge difference in their lives. You show you believe in them with your generous prayers, your sacrificial gifts and your precious time. We are so grateful for the opportunity to join with you in demonstrating to them that they can overcome obstacles, heal from brokenness and challenge the lies that tell them they are unworthy.
Our most recent guest shared encouraging words with me during morning devotions. She said, “The best decision I ever made was to come to The Journey Home. I was overwhelmed with all I needed to overcome and stayed stuck for many years. Now I’m moving forward in life with the support I am receiving from the staff at The Journey Home.” She and her daughters are smiling again and believing in themselves for a brighter future. The children are blessed as the next generation is transformed. They are all growing in their faith and being rooted in Christ. They are thriving, not just surviving.
We invite you to join us at The Journey Home Annual Banquet on Saturday, August 23, to hear guests share their personal stories and to hear an update from the staff and the board of TJH. You won’t want to miss this special evening of food and fellowship. Please purchase your tickets soon on our website as they do tend to sell out. Tickets are available until August 8 on a first come first serve basis. If you would rather purchase tickets with a check, please email Debby@journeyhomemineral.org or call the office at 540-259-3627. Click here for more details.
