“They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.” Psalm 112:9
Christmas is the time of year when people tend to think more often of others. It is a blessed time of year when gifts are given as we celebrate Jesus, the greatest gift ever given. The Journey Home is so very thankful for the generosity of you (and many others) who give freely of your prayers, time and finances to allow the home to continue to do God’s work. A large portion of our yearly income comes through year-end contributions and we would greatly appreciate if you would consider a year-end gift to The Journey Home as the Lord might lead.
We have been overwhelmed by the donations of gifts for the children, food for the guests and supplies for the home. Our hearts are filled with gratitude (and excitement as we imagine the happiness on the faces of the kids as they open their special gifts).
Souls also seem to be more open and tender during this special season. There are so many occasions to encourage our guests and our applicants with the hope, joy, peace and love that this advent season brings. We are so grateful for the opportunities to partner with you in God’s work as He transforms lives.
What a joy it was for the guests, the staff and the regular volunteers to gather for a Christmas party. God has formed a special family at TJH as we journey together in our walk with The Lord. We are grateful for your part in this family.

Prayer requests:
- For God to help us discern His choice for the House Managers position. One potential couple has been interviewed.
- For us to be an example of Jesus as we love and encourage our families and point them to Him.
- For discernment in the selection of guests. We have received increased applications from people in great need.
- For more churches and individuals to grasp the vision to be involved in TJH prayerfully and financially.
- For God’s favor for grants pending a decision.
- For committed volunteers to return as COVID restrictions lift.
- For godly relationships among staff and guests.
We pray you have a very merry and blessed Christmas,
Debby
